PERPLEXITY AND HAZINESS

“L ove will never come to an end. … For our knowledge and our prophecy alike are partial, and the partial vanishes when wholeness comes. When I was a child I spoke like a child, thought like a child, reasoned like a child; but when I grew up I finished with childish things. At present we see only puzzling reflections in a mirror, but one day we shall see face to face. My knowledge now is partial; then it will be whole, like God’s knowledge of me” (1Cor. 13:8-12).

We must realize, that in this present life, we simply do not have all the answers. God reveals enough truth and knowledge to sustain us, and imparts it to us in a way that we are able to handle it. What we are given is sufficient for us so as to take care of our daily needs. What we know and comprehend is relative and limiting as compared with God’s absolute wisdom and knowledge. God’s ways are mysterious, and we will never be able to fully figure out everything about Him and even everything about ourselves. God knows everything in all its fullness; we only know in part:
